Startups come & ask for investments, but they forget one thing which needs to be done before asking for investments. It is getting some sales.

You should not ask for investor's money before having your customer's money. If you're not able to influence your customers to purchase your products or services, don't expect that you'll do that after getting some investments.

That's the secret of getting investments. Make your first sale!


Your first sale is the proof that your product is good and customers want that. More the sales, more the chances of getting investments.

Now, there's some exceptions also. Suppose you have got an idea of making an amazing innovating car and you don't have funds to make that. In this case, nobody will tell you to make your first sale because investors know your problem. They know what is real and what is faked.

So, focus on closing your first sale and then ask for investments, it'll increase the chances of getting investments as well as of succeeding in the Startup Ecosystem.
